'Alice in Wonderland' (1951)
"Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland' was much better than all the chosen Disney animated movies listed. Artistically speaking, it really is one of Disney's most creative and colorful works. Comedically speaking, it was one of Disney's most playful. Think of all those wonderful old character actors in it!" -- Flowerface

Im glad some of these movies made the list because most of them really deserve it. However one movie that was missing that I think should have been on there was the Disney 1998 movie, Mulan. It's a really great story about a Chinese girl who changes her appearance and goes off to fight in her fathers place during war despite the consequences that action may have had. Overall its just a great movie that I really loved.

I have to agree with a lot of the movies that were out there, both in the actual list and the ones that people here mentioned. One of my personal favorites that was not mentioned, though, is Anastasia. It took a piece of history and twisted it to make it into it's own unique story of romance, family, and the quest everybody takes through life: finding out who you really are. It also had great music (that I honestly do still listen to occasionally!!) and great animation. - Lila

What about "Quest for Camelot" in my opinion next to Peter Pan, Lion King and Prince of Egypt, one of the best!

What about the animated Transformers movie from 1986?

What the heck? Alladin, by far and away one of the greatest and funniest movies ever. I was in complete SHOCK that it did not make the list. I really don't think the people who made the list have seen too many Disney movies. With all the unbelievable movies left off the list, I wonder what the qualifications were to rate the movies. Half of the movies on the list I've never even heard of. C'mon, get real, get Alladin on the list, and high on the list for that matter.

YIKES!!! What happened to Lady and the Tramp? My all time favorite movie.

I believe this one was left off to be politically correct. It was crawling with stereotypes, much like Pocahantas.
mod at 2:31PM on Jun 23rd 2008
The only thing worse than a modern Disney movie filled with limp buzzwords like " awesome " is some unqualified nobody's opinion of what was best. Seinfeld was best all time sit-com ? Somebodies mid-west relatives real every day life was and is better than any teevee /movee crap from the battery operated bufoons drawing a paycheck in Hollywood these days. I'm goin' back to the sixties .
Terie at 2:37PM on Jun 23rd 2008
Once again I will voice that HAPPY FEET was the best. Winning an Oscar aside, the detail was amazing. The (love) story was fun but the main message was preservation & being eco-freindly!

WHAT ABOUT BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN?
Rick at 2:59PM on Jun 23rd 2008
I thought that the variety of animation styles and the interwoven story line made "Heavy Metal" a great animated movie. Not one for the kids, maybe, and certainly not politically correct, but once you get over the obvious sex-drugs-rock banality, the art comes through and makes the movie. Heck, the movie even made a cameo on a South Park episode.

"Grave of the Fireflies"
My all time favorite ever since I was little!
Molly at 3:23PM on Jun 23rd 2008
who made the stupid list?!? i mean, what about cars, monsters, mulan, aladdin. for god's sake i cried at tarzan when i was 9!! if south park and the simpsons are above freaking sleeping beauty, what will our kids watch in 5 years?
J.B. Goodowens at 3:37PM on Jun 23rd 2008
I feel sorry for all these folks that voted. It seems to me they've never seen "Song of the South."
What a magnificant combination of real characters and Disney annimation. This is a story that lives forever in your memory and never ceases to tug at your heart. The absolute pinnacle of wonderment, imagination and longing.

Where was Dumbo? One of the most touching animated films ever. The entire List was so ludicrous. Every genre I could have predicted. 2001 the best sci-fi film..HAH! That film is the worst piece of garbage and the biggest waste of film ever. Can anyone explain that film without using the term "drug trip." As for the rest phooey!
