    Fall's Hottest Faces

    Fall Stars to Watch

Brad Pitt. Angelina Jolie. George Clooney. Keira Knightley. They dominate the tabloids, but it's reassuring to find that Hollywood's most famous still fancy the prestige flicks. Factor in other heartthrobs (Gerard Butler) and red-hot actors (Robert Downey Jr.) and fall '08 doesn't just promise good movies, but bona fide movie stars, too.

      Brad Pitt
What He's In: 'Burn After Reading' (Sept. 12)
Why He's Hot: This guy goes to the bathroom and it makes news, but we find him interesting for other reasons -- namely, his willingness to ham it up in the Coen Bros.' black comedy 'Burn' and then shift gears with a dramatic turn in the December Oscar contender, 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.'

      Keira Knightley
What She's In: 'The Duchess' (Sept. 19)
Why She's Hot: After 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'Atonement,' buzzworthy fall pics are becoming a tradition for this young Brit. 'Duchess' could be her most tortured role yet, though, as she plays aristocrat wifey to a monstrous (but human) Ralph Fiennes.

      Gerard Butler
What He's In: 'RocknRolla' (Oct. 8)
Why He's Hot: After he rocked the hardest body this side of Sparta in the mega-hit '300,' Butler tried weepy chick flick ('P.S. I Love You') and family adventure ('Nim's Island') ... thank you, Guy Ritchie, for casting him as a manly man again.

      Leonardo DiCaprio
What He's In: 'Body of Lies' (Oct. 10)
Why He's Hot: He completely wowed us in Martin Scorsese's 'The Departed,' and now he's starring in a movie penned by 'Departed' screenwriter William Monahan, directed by Ridley Scott and co-starring Scott's male muse, Russell Crowe. We expect great things from this kid Leo.

      Kristen Stewart
What She's In: 'Twilight' (Nov. 21)
Why She's Hot: While the 18-year-old has already established a promising career in films like 'Panic Room' and 'Into the Wild, ' she's about to become the envy of millions of teen girls (among others we're sure) as the vampire-loving Bella Swan. That doesn't suck.

      Jamie Foxx
What He's In: 'The Soloist' (Nov. 21)
Why He's Hot: Is there a better actor-musician than Jamie Foxx? The Oscar winner ('Ray') learned how to play the cello for his turn as musical prodigy whose bout with schizophrenia lands him on the streets. Let's see you do that, Timberlake.

      Anne Hathaway
What She's In: 'Rachel Getting Married' (Oct. 3)
Why She's Hot: Fresh off of her action-packed 'Get Smart' role as Agent 99, Hathaway takes a darker turn as a rehab-frequenting addict, home for her sister's wedding. Also coming up: a thriller, 'Passengers,' and next year's 'Bride Wars.'

      Josh Brolin
      What He's In: 'W.' (Oct. 17)
Why He's Hot: He got a career jumpstart with his Oscar-worthy (that's right, Academy, you heard us) performance in last year's 'No Country for Old Men,' and he's a dead ringer for George W. Bush in what promises to be one of the most controversial and -- let's face it -- hilarious flicks of fall.

      Daniel Craig
What He's In: 'Quantum of Solace' (Nov. 14)
Why He's Hot: After he proved he has the double-0 stuff in 'Casino Royale,' we've been giddily anticipating being shaken and stirred by his next outing as the legendary Bond. From the previews we've seen, Mr. Craig will not disappoint.
