Kate Hudson's On- and Off-Screen Loves

The Many Loves of Kate Hudson

Over the past decade, Kate Hudson has captivated audiences with her big-screen romances, fulfilling many a female's fantasy by bedding a rock star, seducing a handsome pastor and landing shirt-hating sex symbol Matthew McConaughey (twice!).

But her dating adventures haven't all been on screen -- tabloids are rife with accounts of her high-profile relationships with the likes of Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, comedic genius Owen Wilson, cycling champ Lance Armstrong ... and the list goes on. Check out Moviefone's recap of Kate Hudson's many on- and off-screen loves. -- By Tom DiChiara

    Dane Cook

Romances Kate: On-screen in 'My Best Friend's Girl' (2008)

Their Story: Hudson gets R-rated (yep, there's nudity and plenty of cursing) in this raunchy romantic comedy about nice guy Dustin (Jason Biggs) who recruits his womanizing best pal Tank (Cook) to take his ex-girlfriend Alexis (Hudson) on the worst date imaginable in the hopes that she'll come running straight back to him. But the joke's on Dustin when Alexis falls hook, line and sinker for Tank's bad-boy ways. Apparently, he had her at "F--- you!"

    Matt LeBlanc

    Romanced Kate: Off-screen

Their History: Kate was just 16 and not quite famous (or legal) when she dated LeBlanc, then on the cusp of 'Friends' stardom. Going out with a 16-year-old? Definitely sounds like something Joey Tribbiani would do.

    Matt Dillon

Romances Kate: On-screen in 'You, Me and Dupree' (2006)

Their Story: Hudson and Dillon star as newlyweds whose marriage is pushed to the breaking point when Dupree (Owen Wilson), the off-the-wall best man from their wedding, moves in with them and proceeds to wreak havoc on their lives. Ironically, the film also had a big impact on the stars' lives: Shortly after opening, Hudson separated from husband Chris Robinson and began dating Wilson, much to the tabloids' delight.

    Universal

    Brendan Sexton III

    Romanced Kate: Off-screen

Their History: Sexton, who is best know for roles in 'Welcome to the Dollhouse' and 'Empire Records,' and Hudson hooked up in 1998 while filming the indie 'Desert Blue.'

    John Corbett

Romances Kate: On-screen in 'Raising Helen' (2004)

Their Story: Hudson plays Helen, a successful fashion exec who must drop-kick her freewheeling, model-dating lifestyle to raise her niece and nephew when their parents die in a car crash. Lucky for her, the cute pastor/principal (Corbett) of the kids' new school is more than happy to help.

    Disney

    Chris Robinson

    Romanced Kate: Off-screen

Their History: Hudson met the gangly, grizzly-bearded Black Crowes frontman at a Halloween party in 1998 but then didn't see him again until May of 2000. They moved in together four days after their first date and were married on New Years Eve 2000, giving weird-looking dudes everywhere hope. The two had a son, Ryder, in 2004, but separated in 2006 amidst rumors of a Hudson-Owen Wilson affair. Their divorce was finalized in October 2007.

    Luke Wilson

Romances Kate: On-screen in 'Alex & Emma' (2003)

Their Story: In her first (but not last) pairing with a Wilson brother, Hudson plays a stenographer named Emma hired by novelist Alex (Wilson), who needs to complete a book in 30 days or face the wrath of loan sharks. But Emma does more than type for Alex -- she inspires him, challenges him and helps shape the love story he is writing. Not shockingly, life soon imitates art.

    Warner Bros.

    Owen Wilson

    Romanced Kate: Off-screen

Their History: The pair met while filming 'You, Me and Dupree' and became quite the hot item after (or was it before?) Hudson and then-hubby Robinson separated in 2006. They dated on and off until May of 2007, and briefly rekindled things after Wilson reportedly attempted suicide that July.

    Heath Ledger

Romances Kate: On-screen in 'The Four Feathers' (2002)

Their Story: When Harry (Ledger) resigns his post in the British Royal Army just days before he is set to ship off to war in Sudan, his fiancee (Hudson) and three friends each give him a white feather as a sign of his cowardice. But when his pal (Wes Bentley) is taken captive, he sets off to save his friend, redeem his honor and, of course, get the girl.
