Bond was married in two films. On Her Majesty's Secret Service and You Only Live Twice (when he went to Japan).

This quiz has a severe error. If the David Niven version of "Casino Royale" is included among the Bond films, then there have been four actors to play "M" rather than three. John Huston should be included in the list along with Bernard Lee, Robert Brown, and Judi Dench. If the Sean Connery produced "Never Say Never" is included, Edward Fox should also be in the list.

The "shaken not stirred" martini can be argued. In "You only Live Twice" when Mr. Hendersen the one-legged British liason to the Japanese secret service makes 007 a martini he hands him a martini which he stirred. He asks 007 thats" stirred not shaken correct?" Sean Connerry answers that's correct. Is 007 just being polite?

Maud Adams (who was a Bond girl twice) was killed by The Man with the Golden Gun at the boxing match.

The 1967 Casino Royal was actually a spoof, and not considered a bonafide Bond film; as was "Never Say Never Again", which was actually an updated remake of "Thunderball". Neither is considered to be of the Bond genre.

As one who has read all 13 Bond novels, I can say definitely that "The Man With The Golden Gun" was Fleming's last completed novel. He began writing "Octopussy" before his death, but it was completely later; probably by Chubby Brocoli. As long as Sean Connery was Bond, the movies followed the novels fairly closely, but when Roger Moore started playing Bond, Brocoli began using great literary license. After Connery's last Bond film, none of the movies even closely resembles the novels. Updated to the times perhaps, but completely off-the-page. "The Spy Who Loved Me" was written from the woman's point of view and sited in New England. "The Man With The Golden Gun" was about a gangster kingpin living on a Caribbean island. But, since Chubby and Fleming were close friends, I suppose Fleming approved.

"For Your Eyes Only" was actually a collection of short stories; all of which are vaguely incorporated into the film, along with a plot that has nothing to do with the book.

This quiz is a big bogus! First off, almost a quarter of the questions deal with tabloid or or news items having little to do with the films or storylines. Second, your question dealing with Casino Royal.....David Niven protrayed "Sir James", while it was Peter Sellers who played just "James". (With Woody Allen as "Jimmy"). I suppose you, youself are not so ...
007-tacular either. These comments were intended to "Shake", not "Stir"!

I do believe Bond shot and killed Elektra King in The World is Not Enough.

What are those unattractive scars on the back of the Bond girl in the recent film Quantum of Solace? No one even explained it. If they were real scars, which actually appear to be burn marks, (and I do apologize for sounding rude) couldn't the movie make up artists have concealed them?

The scars on the girl's back were part of the movie - she got them when the General killed her mother and left her to burn in the house - but even if it weren't part of the movie, who cares? never seen a scar on anyone?

Question 10 is in error. The Bond SERIES did not inspire rules for the treatment of animals. Even though it starred Sean Connery, "Never Say Never Again" (which drew the ire of animal rights activists) was NOT part of the 007 SERIES. It was a one-off done by a production company other than EON, which won the right to remake "Thunderball" in a court settlement.
As to the burn scars Mike H. asks about-- We are told in "Quantum of Solace" that the General who murdered the Bond girl's family when she was a child set the family's house on fire with her in it. Obviously, the burn scars on her back were from that attempt to murder her.

Your question about what nationality was James Bond's father doesn't make sense. The choices are British, Irish, Scottish or Welsh. I guess you mean English when you say British. People from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are all British.

You have as an answer that Bond was only married once but didn't he marry in both You Only Live Twice and On Her Majesty's secret Service?

Not to change the subject here, but I was reading another link where former James Bond George Lazenby has repeatedly said in different interviews he quit the role ol James Bond. This is clearly not true. Why does he say this? Producers Harry Saltzman and Cubby Broccoli fired him because of his arrogance and hostile approach to other actors.
