Johnny Depp dug playing notorious Depression-era bank robber John Dillinger, but he may be more psyched about his turn as the Mad Hatter. Christian Bale has some discouraging news for 'Batman' fans. no it was a gangster ass movie. you didnt think it was that good because youre not realizing this is a true story so theyre not gunna sugar coat the story and make dillingar get away and kill all those cops before he got killed. ooops did i just give that away? lol

Johnny Depp is just awesome ... and handsome. Can't wait to see Alice in Wonderland. I remember watching him on 21 Jump Street when i was like 12 ?

I walked out of Depps first movie and i havr seen no reason to go see any movie he has made since. It sounds like he eulogizes Dillenger. This tells me Depp is any better a person then was John Dillenger. I guess the old saying is true, WATER DOES SEEK ITS LEVEL.

sounds to me like: 1- you severely dislike johnny depp for some reason, and 2- you didn't listen to the interview too closely, if at all. he said that dillinger reminds him of his family because of the area they both were born & raised in. they were from the same sort of rural area, about 60-70 miles apart, so he knows the mannerisms, dialect, and other identifying factors of people from that part of our country. he said he could basically just channel his grandfather's speech and mannerisms, since his grandfather was from that moment in time. listen carefully next time, that's how stupid rumors get started.

FLOP!!! horible... I expected a much more dynamic plot between the characters. The conflict was too simple and the camera agrivated me. It changed between medias too often to keep focused on what was going on. Actors did the best they could with what they had. Director Michael Mann really dropped the ball on this one. Fans beware, don't expect much of Johnny Depp and Christian Bale clashing their first time on the big screen on this flick. Two popular stars with a historical crime spree in America, and the hipe really motivated me to go and this is what I get...cheap, poor planned, and pointless.

I was very disappointed in this movie. It's very bland and slow. It starts out with a bang and sizzles out quickly. It's only redeeming quality was Johnny Depp!

Is it because we don't have to face each other, in this age of computers, that we feel we can be so nasty to each other? I am new to the use of the computer as a means of communication. What Iam finding out is there are a lot of angry people out there.

This morning the critics made me remember why this movie disappointed me. I thought 'Donny Brasco' was fabulous! I had almost forgotten about it. Johnny was also outstanding in Blow, when he played a real life character, on the opposite side of the law.
So I probably set the bar too high.
I still think this one was just mediocre.
