If there's one thing you can count on in the movie business, it's that when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp team up for a flick, it's not going to be your cliched, run-of-the-mill, cookie-cutter stuff (the day they churn out a conventional, 90-minute romantic comedy together, we'll sprout wings). Whether making a film about a shy scissor-handed boy ('Edward Scissorhands'), a misanthropic candy maker ('Charlie in the Chocolate Factory') or a demonic barber with a taste for music and meat pies ('Sweeney Todd'), their collaborations have always been unique, challenging and visually stunning -- portals to another world. And judging by the breath-taking new trailer for Burton's live-action reimagining of 'Alice in Wonderland,' which debuted at Comic-Con earlier today, they've done it again. Below, take a peek through the looking glass at the eye-popping first trailer for the film, starring Depp as the maniacal Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the beautiful White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the blood-lusting Red Queen and Mia Wasikowska as the rabbit-hole-tumbling Alice. -- By Tom DiChiara

I can't wait to see this movie. The artistry is amazing, the actors perfect for the roles, and the makeup is truly a work of art. I've never been so excited about seeing a movie before. I never thought I'd see the day when I would see Johnny Depp with orange hair...he's still hot. :) lol And I will be first in line when it opens....see ya there.

I totally agree with you Kay! I'm stoked to see this and can't wait too drool once more over Johnny Depp (even if he is a little odd looking).

Ditto. Well I'm always excited about Harry Potter films. But if I was not already a fan of said artists this trailer would have made me one. I can't wait!!

I am also so excited to see this movie. Once again Tim Burton has out done himself. I think this movie looks amazingly entertaining. I'm sure this will win a few academy awards. Unfortunately non to Johnny Depp. Maybe one day the academy will realize what a great character actor he is.

I'm with you. Me and my friend love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, and I love Helena Bonham Carter. It is coming out on my birthday so I am buying the tickets as far in advance as I can.

can't wait... but I can already tell they did it different. This movie looks more like Through the looking glass with some of alice in wonderland put in. red queen and white queen is in through the looking glass. I want to see the queen of hearts and the catipillar smoking from a booga on a shroom (In the book he was doing that) XP

Alice was a girl, not a grown woman. She should be played by a 12 year old girl. That is the key to the story, an inquisitive girl who is mature enough to deal with unreality. Can't wait to see Johnny Depp.

This movie looks like another over produced movie. What happened to the art of film making.
No let's stick to our cgi guns right?
And i'm tired of Johnny Depp and tim burton making movies together, is danny elfman doing the soundtrack too?
Please spare me another crap movie. Plus, why not get an alice that looks like an alice, have you ever seen a alice before?
backthepong at 5:30PM on Jul 24th 2009
Or how about this, Jack sparrow is the mad hatter, he has lost the acting bug, you know, where you make up new voices and characters.
LA at 2:07PM on Jul 24th 2009
No you will not be the first one on line! It will be me. Can't wait.

WRONG! The RED QUEEN is from the Chess Board... It's the QUEEN OF HEARTS who YELLS: OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
jen t at 10:50AM on Jul 26th 2009
this will be one we remember. it will be worth the money for the artistry alone.
Trudy at 11:33AM on Jul 26th 2009
I agree 100%

i cannot wait to see this i think i might even go to the theater to see it i am so excited Tim Burton always dose an exceptional job with an all star cast its bound to be excellent
kurt at 1:06PM on Jul 26th 2009
they better not mess up the story because alice in wonderland/ through the looking glass is a masterpeice and it would be terrible if they changed the story at all
Chris at 1:36PM on Jul 26th 2009
Anne Hathaway looks kinda stupid seeing as how they forgot to dye her eyebrows. But still looking forward to the movie.
Tima at 2:49PM on Jul 26th 2009
Ok to the fools on here. This is NOT traditional Alice In Wonderland! It's a Tim Burton movie, and Tim always puts a twist into his movies. (Which I love) I think it leans more towards Through The Looking Glass.
I for one am excited. :)

It looks like another Tim Burton classic, but The Mad Hatter look's like Madonna.
