Every once in a while, a movie comes along that tickles moviegoers' funny bones, touches their hearts and perhaps -- if their stomachs are weak -- makes them want to projectile vomit ... all at the same time. The new horror-comedy 'Zombieland,' about four mismatched survivors on a road-trip to an amusement park rumored to be the last bastion of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by flesh-chomping zombies, is once such flick -- and it's earning well-deserved rave reviews. Here's a sampling of what top movie critics are saying about this bloody good, scary fun film.

Roger Ebert: "There's no getting around it: Zombies are funny. But who would have guessed such a funny movie as 'Zombieland' could be made around zombies? No thanks to the zombies."

USA Today: "The humor is vicious and the supporting cast is viscous. But underlying the carnage in 'Zombieland' is a sweetly beating heart. Ludicrous as it sounds, a film featuring rampaging, blood-oozing zombies and wide-eyed 'Little Miss Sunshine' blasting a cap in whichever undead body parts are available makes for delightful entertainment."

The Hollywood Reporter: "It's an admittedly tricky balance that's pulled off with energetic panache by first-time director Ruben Fleischer and the writing team of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It also has perfectly pitched performances, including the cameo of the year by Bill Murray."

Funniest Scenes in Zombie Movies

New York Post: "Though both female characters are underwritten and the movie ends too soon, after a routinely action-packed final act that isn't as fresh as the rest, 'Zombieland' is still the funniest broad comedy since 'The Hangover.' Its yowling, marching, munching corpses are as scary as grad students and as hilarious as the plot of 'G.I. Joe.'"

New York Times: "Despite its throwaway jokes, a hint of romance and various ridiculous bits of business, some involving Twinkies, the movie is strictly a compendium of all the ways to off zombies, which can be downed with guns, of course, as well as baseball bats, gardening tools, a toilet-bowl lid, even a piano."

L.A. Times: "No one looks to be enjoying the ride more than Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee, a zombie slayer with a Twinkie fetish. If the undead dreamed, he'd be their worst nightmare. In a role that seems written for him, Harrelson clearly delights in finding creatively brutal methods of dispatching the monsters. And it's just plain fun to see him do it."

Time Magazine: "'Zombieland' is an exhilarating ride, start to finish. ... This isn't just a good zombie comedy. It's a damn fine movie, period. And that's high praise, coming from a vampire guy."

Newsday: "Harrelson mugs wonderfully, Eisenberg stutters charmingly, Stone emerges as more than a token hottie, and Breslin plays a hardhearted tweener who, nevertheless, misses Hannah Montana."
