Best Prank Scenes in Movies

Every year on the night before Halloween, prank-playing diehards of all ages (well, no one over 16, we hope) take to the streets for what is lovingly referred to by those who partake in its festivities as Mischief Night. And what's Mischief Night, or any night for that matter, without a little light egging, some cleverly rigged buckets of blood, the classic "flaming bag of poop" and -- as perfected in 'Dumb and Dumber' -- the always funny Ex-Lax in your pal's milkshake? So in honor of the eve of All Hallow's Eve, we present, for your viewing and revenge-plotting pleasure, some of cinema's most memorable, most childish and most tasteless prank scenes.

You'd probably be in a crap-ton of trouble for attempting this one in real life: Richard Dreyfus attaches a steel cable to the chassis of a parked cop car and gets a good laugh when the unsuspecting policemen try to drive off and find their car in pieces. As far as movie pranks go, however, this one's on the tame side.

It's the ultimate "prank gone wrong" scenario when an unpopular girl is voted Homecoming Queen just so some very mean kids can dump pig's blood on her in front of the whole school. They all get theirs, of course, in the nastiest way possible when Carrie (Sissy Spacek) turns out to be a girl who you really, really don't want to make angry.

This movie is pretty much one long pee, poop and fart joke, so it's hard to single out just one prank from the whole pack: spiking (aka peeing in) the punch? Farting the song 'Volare' at a pep rally? Where to start? This clip includes some classic egging, TPing and the ever-popular dog poop flambe left on the doorstep of their snooty Beverly Hills nemesis.
The final touch: The Knights moon her as they drive off. "I'll kill all of you!" she yells. They, naturally, get the last laugh: She's the same woman who later gets a mouthful of the tainted punch and has to utter the line: "I know this taste. I've had it in my mouth before." Hey, no one is claiming anyone involved with this movie has any taste!

How do young science whizzes blow off steam? By rigging a giant ball of popcorn kernels in their nemesis' house and then popping it with a laser from a commandeered military jet, of course. He digs all the free popcorn at first -- but the house collapsing from the sheer volume of corn? Not so much. Sadly, this isn't one you're going to be able to do at home, kids.

When nerdy Ronald (Patrick Dempsey) buys his way into the cool crowd, he's thrilled to be with the jocks for their annual Halloween outing. "We got some boiled tomatoes, rotten eggs and the piece de resistance: the sh**bomb!," crows their leader proudly. Of course, the recipient of the bomb o' turd belongs to Ronald's oldest friend, who catches "the Ronster" in the act. Talk about a sh**ty night.

Here's a novel twist on poop dispersal: A locker set to explode backfires on two pranksters who target garbage man Emilio Estevez. They can't understand why the thing didn't blow, so they investigate -- and get a face full of feces. At least we hear it's good for the complexion.

Watch this clip at your own risk: You may be just a little bit dumber after viewing it. For those of you dying to see the poop being collected (as well as lit on fire and hilariously spread underfoot by the target), here's your movie. "He's gonna sh** once he realizes it's sh**," proclaims Billy (Adam Sandler), before playing the old flaming-bag-o-dung prank on Old Man Clemens for the 108th time. You'd think Old Man Clemens would have caught on by now, but no, he puts out the fire, then sniffs the sole of his boot and sourly announces, "Poop again!" Yep, Old Man, the movies never, ever tire of that one.

Steal Lloyd Christmas' (Jim Carrey) woman and you will pay -- oh yes, you will pay. When Harry (Jeff Daniels), aka "Dumb," sets up a secret date with the dream girl (Lauren Holly) of best pal Lloyd, aka "Dumber," Christmas gives his buddy the gift that keeps on giving and giving (to the toilet bowl, anyway) with a glass full of laxatives. The icing on top of the (poop-layered) cake? The toilet's broken.

Before Lindsay Lohan became a gossip fixture whose biggest PR nightmare (besides herself) is her warring parents, she was the cute little kid who played two look-alike girls -- one a Brit, the other a Yank -- who meet at summer camp, don't realize they're sisters and so, naturally, proceed to torment each other in various ways. They steal each others' clothes, put beds on roofs and try to whip-cream-and-feather one another. And that's when things get truly messy.

Grown-up reporter Drew Barrymore goes undercover at a high school and painfully relives her own teen years as school laughingstock "Josie Grossie." She thinks she's finally made it when the uber-popular Billy asks her to the prom, but Billy shows up with another date and a carton of eggs! Poor Josie and her pink metallic prom dress are pelted with eggs as Billy yells, "Hey, write a poem about this, geek!" We'd be scarred for life too.

After assaulting his teacher, Kale (Shia LaBoeuf) is placed under house arrest and forced to wear an ankle monitor. Which makes him a perfect patsy for the neighborhood brats who leave a flaming bag of doo-doo on his doorstep. Realizing he's been pranked (and in his socks, ewww!) Kale runs after them shouting, "I'll shove this sh** on my foot up your asses!" Then he realizes he's activated the monitor and has to race back home, where he receives a beatdown from the cops. Kids with poop: 1. Shia: 0.
