Reese Witherspoon Following 'Rule #1'

Reese WitherspoonReese Witherspoon has lined up the film 'Rule #1,' about a New York woman who befriends a Puerto Rican girl with attention deficit disorder, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

It doesn't sound like a romantic comedy (unless the genre is getting a new twist!) although it's from Terrel Seltzer, a co-writer on the underrated George Clooney-Michelle Pfeiffer rom-com 'One Fine Day' and the comedy 'How I Got Into College.'

Witherspoon earned an Oscar for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in 'Walk the Line,' but has carved out her mark in Hollywood as one of the few women who can open a romantic comedy, whether her co-star is Luke Wilson, Patrick Dempsey or a chihuahua! Now that's box-office clout.

Last seen in 'Four Christmases,' she's currently developing the films 'Bell Witch' and 'Around the World in 80 Dates' through her production company, Type A Films.
