File this under "Wedding Bell Blues." According to WENN, the folks at Disney are getting ready to make 'Three Men and a Bride,' reuniting Steve Guttenberg, Ted Danson and Tom Selleck in a second sequel to the enormously popular 'Three Men and a Baby.'
That 1987 film, which was based on the French smash hit '3 hommes et un couffin,' revolved around three New York bachelors who take care of a baby abandoned outside their door. The 1990 sequel, 'Three Men and a Little Lady,' had the three "dads" dealing with their five-year-old daughter potentially moving to England with her mum. Presumably 'Bride' will deal with the three dads giving away their betrothed daughter and all the inherent pre-nuptial problems the writers can conjure up.
Guttenberg told WENN, "Disney's developing 'Three Men and a Bride.' That's going to be a smash. A smash hit. They're bringing everybody back for that. Nobody knows about it. I'm the first to talk about it."
Guttenberg, whose film career after 'Little Lady' hasn't exactly been in overdrive, also told WENN that he wants to bring back 'Police Academy' and 'Cocoon.' "It's definitely time for another 'Police Academy'," he said. "And I think they could make another 'Cocoon.' They're surefire hits and I think they're good for the world. They make the world a better place and that's what it's all about."
We're not quite sure the world is ready for another 'Three Men' outing, though. What do you think?

I think the movie is a great idea. My girls were crazy about the originals when they were small, and now I'm sure they'll enjoy a happy ending. Not too many of those around nowadays.

Might be right...it may not go over good. Also 2and 1/2 men may be all we need.

These movies were no doubt classics, and everything Steve G said about them being necessary for the world are absolutely true. Rather than come up with some more modern nonsense from hollywood, I will go on record and say that I'd be the first to stand in line and pay to see these. Definitely bring 'em on!

Heck yes, bring it on. Get away from blood, guts and scary movies for a change.
Debbie at 9:46PM on Nov 4th 2009
I'd pay to watch Tom Selleck for hours!!! But how about some steamy scenes with him!!!

Guttenberg sounds a bit desperate and more than a little pathetic. His career is over; he had a good run, but he didn't quite have what it takes to be a timeless actor who's career is still going strong after they've recieved their AARP card. Another "Three Men" movie would be horrible. Another "Police Academy" would make me want to kill myself. But I could see how a "Cocoon" sequal might be okay...as long as it doesn't star Steve Guttenberg. I mean, what else do you want, Steve? Another "Short Circuit"? You were too good for the first sequal, weren't you? Maybe not so much now, huh?

To the person who said they'd be first in line - well, I'll be right behind you! I loved those movies. I watch them over and over and never tire of them. Bring it on! Can't wait.

What is wrong with you people.....Does anybody remember how terrible Cocoon 2 was. Dont even get me started on all the crappy police academy sequels they made. Can nobody think of anything original anymore. All Hollywood keeps doing is making crappy remake after remake. Nothing new anymore.
Shannon at 10:11PM on Nov 4th 2009
It's been over 20 years since the original and almost 20 years since the sequel ... I for one would love to see this movie!!
Tommie at 10:19PM on Nov 4th 2009
OH YEAH! They were great. I would definately go to see that.

I was only 8 when that movie came out but it is an all time fave, i'm actually DVRing it this week. I love love love Ted, love Tom and like Steve. I also recently have rewatched Cocoon and Cocoon: The Return and thought it would be so awesome to see a new one, although the majority of that cast is passed so another movie might not turn out as good.

I loved those movies, I have the DVD's and watch them when I am bored with the junk on TV. Tom Sellek and Ted Danson were great, Steve Gutenburg I would not miss if he were not in it. But then it wouldn't be Three Men and a Bride. Oh well I would still go and see it. It is about time they made this.
