Angelina Jolie is taking a break from Oscar bait to nourish her butt-kicking babe side in the brand new trailer for the spy thriller 'Salt.'And, not that we didn't love 'The Changeling' (OK, maybe we didn't), but we couldn't be happier to see Angie flaunting the athleticism and general penchant for badassery she's honed in such films as 'Tomb Raider,' 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' and 'Wanted.' Here she plays a CIA operative forced to prove her innocence when she's fingered as a Russian double agent aiming to assassinate the U.S. president.
While the trailer is certainly fun to watch, our enjoyment of it is enhanced by the fact that Angie's role was initially intended for Tom Cruise, with the film then entitled 'Edwin A. Salt.' When the Cruisinator dropped out to tackle the action-comedy 'Wichita' opposite Cameron Diaz, Jolie graciously stepped in, the name was changed to just plain 'Salt,' and the script was rewritten to suit Jolie's more feminine -- but equally kickass -- tendencies.
'Salt' is set to hit theaters on July 23, 2010.

Jolie - HOT, HOT, HOT. Wish I were Brad. He is so much better off with Jolie that Jen. Jen is like a door knob, as everyone had a turn on her.

I make it a point to NEVER go to a movie that Jolie is in. She is a lousy actress, and looking at her makes me think of a blow-fish....makes me sick!!

Angelina Jolie is attractive, but the woman just can't act. She is nothing more than eye candy in these action flicks, and there's nothing wrong with that if that's all you're after. But I'd like to also see a little credible acting skill.

Who frankly cares whether she's a homewrecker or not, or whether Brad pit is married to Tom Cruise, or whether Jennifer Aniston can make an apple pie worth her salt? The question is, Are the movies worth watching?
Working in cinema since 1996 I can tell you that both Brad and Angelina currently pull in more box office takings than Jen and Tom put together. And what was wrong with Changeling? A very good movie and yes, Angelina can act and did a sterling job in Changeling. Tomb Raider sucked but that's because it was Tomb Raider. Contrary to popular belief, the Tomb Raider games also sucked.
Jen Aniston is not capable of putting together anything except a string of bland mediocrity.
