Yes, it's another remake. But in this case, even die-hard fans of the original 'Clash of the Titans' -- and there were lots of them; the film was a box office hit -- have got to be excited about this high-tech do-over.Helmed by 'The Incredible Hulk' director Louis Leterrier, the new 'Clash of the Titans' retells the Greek myth of Perseus's quest to save the Princess Andromeda. Though 1981's 'Clash' was groundbreaking at the time -- thanks to stop-motion animation by effects legend Ray Harryhausen -- technology has come far in the intervening years, giving fantasy guru Leterrier a host of new tools to retell this classic story.
The film's first trailer gives us a glimpse of loads of state-of-the-art eye candy. Behold the toppling statues! The great thatches of writhing snakes! The hideous kraken! If the trailer doesn't make you shudder and grab for a tub of popcorn, well...good God, man! What does it take?
Luddites take note: not all of the thrills are high-tech. Thanks to good old-fashioned genetics, Perseus (Sam Worthington, rocking a breastplate) and Andromeda (Alexa Davalos, in goddess white) are a sight to behold as well.
'Clash of the Titans' is set to hit theaters March 26, 2010.

I think they should be careful in a time sensitive piece like this on showing close ups of the actors that have fillings that you can see in their teeth. Don't think the Greeks were that advanced...

I think I'll prefer the original film. Does every movie they make have to be a 300esque action film? The first film was spooky, this just looks like so much CGI. lame

I just stumble upon the movie I’ve been writing Steven Spielberg to remake aver since Independence Day came out I knew technology finally caught up to remake one of the greatest movie ever made I been waiting 28 years for this remake I'm a big fan of the original Clash of the Titans and remember when it first came out how awesome it was back in 1981 other then the original StarWars new hope this is equally if not a better story or movie.. :-)

Amen, SDsinzz. Can anyone say obnoxious jock movie?(no offense to the athletes out there) But seriously, this is way too loud and flashy for my taste. The orignal is good because of its subtleties. This just screams overkill. It's like recreating E.T. and having him shoot lasers from his eyes. Totally sacreligious!
