First Look: 'Resident Evil: Afterlife'

What better way to spend Friday the 13th than on a zombie movie set? Of course, the vicious creatures weren't on the loose or anything, but the scare factor was still high.

The much-anticipated sequel to the 'Resident Evil' trilogy -- 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' -- is in the works in Toronto, and will be released in August 2010. Unfortunately, there isn't much information we can give you yet (details are embargoed until next July!), but we can at least confirm the franchise's hotness level has been cranked up a few notches.

The lead role of Alice is still being masterfully played by Milla Jovovich, and as if that wasn't hot enough, joining in the zombie butt-kicking is 'Heroes' star Ali Larter, who's reprising her role from 'Resident Evil: Extinction.' Female fans will be getting some eye candy, as 'Prison Break' hunk Wentworth Miller has joined the cast, along with stacked Canadian newcomer Shawn Roberts (who's already worked with zombies in 'Diary of the Dead').

The director-producer tag team of Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt, who brought you such classics as 'Mortal Kombat' and 'AVP: Alien vs. Predator', are incredibly excited to get this fourth 'Resident Evil' installment into theaters. We'd love to tell you more, but sadly, we're going to have to wait.

Until then, enjoy this interview with Milla Jovovich for 'A Perfect Getaway,' her most recent thriller.
