Mike White to Take Part in 'Santa Wars'

Mike White, creator of the most unusual cinematic pairing of the last ten years, 'Chuck & Buck,' is the choice to write another frenemy flick, 'Santa Wars.' In this Scott Rudin- produced project (which just so happens to be based on a true story) two professional Kris Kringles found the Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas (also real -- we s*** you not), only to see their friendship go down the chute.

Since Christmas is just around the corner, we're inspired to make a few casting suggestions.

Billy Bob Thornton and Steve Buscemi would suit us just fine. Thorton, aka 'Bad Santa' himself, is a no-brainer. And who plays irrational anger better than Buscemi, most recently heard but not seen getting on everyone's last rodent nerve in 'G Force'? However, Thornton and Buscemi's combined weight is quite possibly equal to only one St. Nick.

Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin, the patriarchs of 'The Simpsons' and 'Family Guy' respectively, would also make us jolly, providing the perfect opportunity for a summit between these portly paterfamilias.

White also comes uniquely prepared to deck 'Santa''s halls. When he memorably ran 'The Amazing Race' with his father Mel last season, one of the stops was the North Pole. Okay, maybe not.
