It's Kinda Like: 'The Da Vinci Code' meets 'The Godfather Part III'
What We Say: You can't beat the teaming of Hanks and director Ron Howard, whose sure hand propels this thriller at a non-stop pace. There's some brutal murders and a far-fetched ending, but it's hard to fault a film that's so much darn fun.

'Funny People' What It's About: Adam Sandler plays a famous stand-up comedian who learns he has less than a year to live. When he meets a struggling comedian (Seth Rogen) at a comedy club, he hires him to be his personal assistant and opening act, and the two forge a close friendship -- until Sandler learns that his disease has gone into remission.
It's Kinda Like: 'Punchline' meets 'Love Story'
What We Say: Writer-director Judd Apatow steps up to material with more emotional depth and maturity than his previous outings ('The 40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up') but he undermines himself with a rambling scenario and an almost two-and-a-half hour running time. Still, it's good to see Sandler dig into a character a bit more weighty than Zohan.

Four Christmases' What It's About: An upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple (Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn) can't make it to their annual exotic Christmas vacation and instead trudge off to not one, not two, not three, but four Christmases -- to visit the homes of their four divorced parents. Each household holds trouble for the pair, be it fighting brothers or a sex-hungry mom.
It's Kinda Like: 'Meet the Parents' on 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' without the laughs
What We Say: There's a lot of wasted talent (Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Mary Steenburgen, Jon Favreau, Tim McGraw, Dwight Yoakam, and Jon Voight) in this make-shift comedy that just can't decide if it's naughty or nice. In the end, it's neither.
