Shrek Forever After Has a Teaser Trailer and New Poster

Shrek Forever AfterIs the trailer fairy in town at the moment? I only ask because it feels like we've been drowning in teasers recently. In fact, only this week we've had trailers for Russell Crowe's Robin Hood, a full-length version of Alice in Wonderland and then the mighty Iron Man 2 arrived only yesterday. And now to add to that bulging list we have a teaser trailer for the fourth Shrek movie - plus a new US poster. Who needs Santa?

The 15 Most Inappropriate Movie Posters Redone for the Holidays

It's that most wonderful time of year ... when retailers, car dealers and even beer companies invoke the holiday spirit in their ad campaigns to peddle you more product.

The Madison Avenue strategy of using Christmas colors to make a little more green is a December tradition in movie ads. Just Photoshop some Santa hats on the main characters and watch the family crowds roll in! (Sometimes you don't even have to wait until December; the recent release 'Everybody's Fine,' which doesn't have a thing to do with the holidays until the film's final two minutes, featured a poster with a decorated evergreen conspicuously lurking behind Robert De Niro and family.)

We wondered what it would look when you employed this genius marketing tactic on the most inappropriate of films ads.

    Disney Scraps 'Wild Hogs 2'

Disney Scraps 'Wild Hogs 2'There appears to be a fuel shortage at Disney, because the word is that 'Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride,' has run out of gas. The sequel to 'Wild Hogs,' the 2007 hit about four midlife crisis-prone men taking to their motorcycles, was set to have begun shooting next summer with Walt Becker returning as director, and stars John Travolta, Tim Allen, Ray Liotta, and William H. Macy all on board for the ride.

'Nine' Premiere: Dame Judi on James Bond and Toby Maguire on Globe Nom (VIDEO)

You don't get much more star-studded then the premiere of 'Nine' in New York last night, where Moviefone was up close and personal on the red carpet. Lucky us!

'Nine' -- from 'Chicago' director Rob Marshall -- is the film adaptation of the Broadway musical of the same name, which in turn was based on Federico Fellini's autobiographical film '8 1/2.' That's right, it's a film based on a musical based on a film. Oh, Hollywood.

    'Nine' Movie Reviews

day-lewis and cotillard in NineA film based on a stage musical based on a film (not unlike 'The Producers'), 'Nine' isn't getting a lot of amore from most critics. It was certainly a promising proposition: Director/choreographer Rob Marshall -- who helmed the smash 'Chicago'-- takes the acclaimed Broadway musical based on the 1963 Fellini classic '8½,' adds a screenplay by Anthony Minghella and Michael Tolkin, and casts Daniel-Day Lewis as the film's protagonist, Italian film director Guido Contini, amid a bevy of A-list female stars.

'Nine' centers on Guido's inability to start his next film (he's suffering from 'directile dysfunction,' as Variety quips) and his subsequent fantasies starring all the women in his life, past and present, including his wife (Marion Cotillard), mother (Sophia Loren), mistress (Penelope Cruz), main muse (Nicole Kidman), costume designer (Judi Dench), a reporter (Kate Hudson) and a hooker from his childhood (Fergie). Though some reviewers appreciated the big, show-stopping numbers, talented (and ultra-hot) actresses, and Day-Lewis' transformation into a brooding Italian, many were left cold by the frenetic proceedings. See what they had to say after the jump.
