Eye Candy Abounds in 'Clash of the Titans' Trailer (VIDEO)

Yes, it's another remake. But in this case, even die-hard fans of the original 'Clash of the Titans' -- and there were lots of them; the film was a box office hit -- have got to be excited about this high-tech do-over.

Helmed by 'The Incredible Hulk' director Louis Leterrier, the new 'Clash of the Titans' retells the Greek myth of Perseus's quest to save the Princess Andromeda. Though 1981's 'Clash' was groundbreaking at the time -- thanks to stop-motion animation by effects legend Ray Harryhausen -- technology has come far in the intervening years, giving fantasy guru Leterrier a host of new tools to retell this classic story.

A Disaster Porn Retrospective: Historical Landmarks Blown to Bits For Our Viewing Pleasure (VIDEO)

Lately you can't walk into a theater or turn on the TV without seeing the major-league destruction of the '2012' trailer. Roland Emmerich's feature is the ultimate in disaster porn: fire, explosions, bridges and highways collapsing, and our hero John Cusack flying through all the carnage in a small plane.

St. Peter's Basilica is turning into Vatican rubble, the Eiffel Tower's going horizontal -- it's the visual equivalent of a pot of espresso with a Red Bull chaser. Of course, this is nothing new; destroying national landmarks and infrastructure is a Hollywood tradition, and the producers of '2012' have these films to thank for paving the way -- or at least blowing it up.

2012 Special: How To Make Your Own Tidal Wave

Scene from 2012Thanks to upcoming disaster epic, 2012, we've already seen how to create your very own earthquake (basically, build a huge film set on hydraulic pumps). Now this week's exercise will reveal to us how you can make huge 500ft waves crash down on remote Himalayan temples (see pic). Which is handy.

Bruno Sits Down With Pete Rose in Deleted Scene from DVD (Video)

Sacha Baron Cohen recently announced that he's "done" with the characters from Da Ali G show. No more G, no more Borat and his cultural learnings, and no more Bruno.

Which makes the arrival on DVD of his latest, and last, cringe-comedy, 'Bruno', on Nov. 17, all the more precious to fans. And with many never-before-seen deleted scenes, we'll all soon get even more opportunities to groan. (Yesterday we showed you the infamous LaToya Jackson clip being restored for the DVD release.)

What Time Is It? No One Knows, Since No One Has a Hamilton Watch

It's just not a normal Sunday night in Los Angeles unless you attend an awards ceremony. Two nights ago, I went to the 4th annual Hamilton Behind The Camera Awards, a Movieline.com presentation. Being Canadian, whenever I used to hear the word "Hamilton," I would think of steel mills and McMaster University. I have since learned, however, that Hamilton, a member of the Swatch group, is a watch company who have had their timepieces product placed in over 300 films. Surely, when you watched Elvis Presley in 'Blue Hawaii,' you were captivated by his watch, right? Of course you were. It was a Hamilton.

As usual, I dragged my sidekick Brooke along with me as my official photographer. Unfortunately, though Brooke ripped feverishly through her apartment just before we had to leave for the event, she could not find her camera. All she had was her BlackBerry. That would have to do.

When we arrived at the event, we took our place on the red carpet along with the rest of the media. All the photographers had gigantic cameras which dwarfed Brooke's little BlackBerry. Picture a mass of paparazzi (which I like to call a "pap smear") with cameras large enough to house small dogs, and then poor Brooke holding up her little BlackBerry trying to compete. She really had no chance. Good thing I told the publicist for the event that I simply had to have my own photographer there. I had to, though. I couldn't concede that, in reality, I needed to have a drinking buddy with me.

Rachel McAdams Purr-fectly Cast as Black Cat in 'Spider-Man 4'?

Let's just caterwaul it out with a grin: Mee-oow! Rumor has it -- and Mania.com is now reporting -- that Rachel McAdams could be cast in the role of the sexy Black Cat in 'Spider-Man 4.' There's no confirmation yet from director Sam Raimi, but it's widely known that McAdams took a meeting with the producers of the flick, and would be colossal catnip for audiences if clad in a costume fit for a fetching feline.

New on DVD: Week of November 10

Three comedies come to the forefront this week but only one rises to the occasion: 'Up' takes animated films to new levels while 'The Accidental Husband' and 'The Ugly Truth' pair up talented actors in all-too-familiar romantic situations.
