Denzel Washington Returning to Broadway in 'Fences' Revival

Five years after his last appearance on Broadway -- in a revival of William Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar' that some critics drubbed -- Denzel Washington will return to the board next spring in a revival of 'Fences,' the powerful August Wilson family play that won a passel of honors, including the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

10 Films, 10 Very Different War Veterans

With America's two ongoing wars, it's no wonder Hollywood continues to produce movies dealing with the hardships returning soldiers endure. This week's 'The Messenger' and the upcoming 'Brothers,' focus on home-front troubles rather than the tribulations of battle.

These films follow a long history of cinema that portrays the lasting effects of war on individuals long after the last shots are fired. For Veteran's Day, we've compiled ten films that span nearly 70 years and present ten different veterans. While they range from fantastical to funny, each of them offers insight into serious struggle American heroes must endure.

J.J. Abrams Won't Direct 'Dark Tower' Adaptation

In last night's still air, one could hear a faint but constant wail not unlike a tired banshee. Those were Stephen King fanatics mourning the passing of J.J. Abrams' film adaption of 'The Dark Tower.' Early this summer, it seemed Abrams and his partner, Damon Lindelof, were still developing the project. However, the 'Star Trek' director just told MTV News, "'The 'Dark Tower' thing is tricky. It's such an important piece of writing. The truth is that Damon and I are not looking at that right now."

Moviefone Minute: November 11

Rapper Eminem returns to the big screen in the upcoming 3-D horror flick 'Shady Tales', Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been caught holding hands in Paris, Lindsay Lohan's mother has confirmed the actress was dating Heath Ledger at the time of his death and Robert Downey Jr. talks about being homeless in the December issue of Esquire.

Eye Candy Abounds in 'Clash of the Titans' Trailer (VIDEO)

Yes, it's another remake. But in this case, even die-hard fans of the original 'Clash of the Titans' -- and there were lots of them; the film was a box office hit -- have got to be excited about this high-tech do-over.

Helmed by 'The Incredible Hulk' director Louis Leterrier, the new 'Clash of the Titans' retells the Greek myth of Perseus's quest to save the Princess Andromeda. Though 1981's 'Clash' was groundbreaking at the time -- thanks to stop-motion animation by effects legend Ray Harryhausen -- technology has come far in the intervening years, giving fantasy guru Leterrier a host of new tools to retell this classic story.

Exclusive First Look: 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'

Due out next May, 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley and a dangerous herd of ... ostriches? You may have already watched the first trailer (see below), which debuted online recently packed full of a ripped Gyllenhaal, fantastical action sequences, dangerously intense villains, gorgeous Moroccan landscapes and plenty of sand.

The Best of Disaster Porn: Historical Landmarks Blown to Bits For Our Viewing Pleasure (VIDEO)

Lately you can't walk into a theater or turn on the TV without seeing the major-league destruction of the '2012' trailer. Roland Emmerich's feature is the ultimate in disaster porn: fire, explosions, bridges and highways collapsing, and our hero John Cusack flying through all the carnage in a small plane.

St. Peter's Basilica is turning into Vatican rubble, the Eiffel Tower's going horizontal -- it's the visual equivalent of a pot of espresso with a Red Bull chaser. Of course, this is nothing new; destroying national landmarks and infrastructure is a Hollywood tradition, and the producers of '2012' have these films to thank for paving the way -- or at least blowing it up.
